A significant challenge faced by intersex individuals of school-going age is the low level of access to education. Shockingly, only about 10% of intersex persons attain tertiary education. This educational disparity is largely due to discrimination and stigmatization within their communities, leading to the denial of socio-economic rights and the subsequent exclusion from educational opportunities. As a result, many intersex individuals drop out of school, lacking the necessary skills for social, political, and economic development, and find themselves without employable skills.
